To date, instant engineering adhesive performance and applications have been constrained by the limitations of existing cyanoacrylate technologies. Through a unique process, Bostik will unlock the potential of these technologies and develop a range of instant adhesives to deliver the high-performance, user-friendly properties designers and engineers need.

The new Born2Bond cyanoacrylates are mostly MECA based (Methoxyethyl CA) with numerous benefits compared to the traditional ECA (Ethyl CA) cyanoacrylates.

Born2Bond product range consists of three different product groups

• 1K Ultra  series comes in standard squeeze bottles. Ultra series CA is very fast curing, label free, low odour and low blooming.

•  2K series with max. strength (Structural, Flex, Repair) are packed in 50ml dual cartridge.

•  Structural has unique long open time but still rapid curing and also with the highest impact resistance.

•  Flex has also unique combination of elasticity and instant bonding.

•  Repair is one of the fastest and the toughest in the market. It’s also machinable and paintable and with very low shrinkage.

•  Light Lock has dual cure feature which can cure even faster. For example the curing time with PMMA is 1 second and with aluminum is only few seconds more. It’s also Bio Compatible (ISO 10993-5 and 10993-10).
